Get you some of those award-winning pre-Prohibition flavors.

Once upon the pre-Prohibition times, Bond & Lillard was a famous Whiskey. It was first distilled in 1820 in Anderson County in Kentucky by John Bond who was a veteran of the American Revolutionary War. The Grand Prize that the Whiskey received at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis tells you this was an esteemed brand back in the day. At least according to the expert judges at the fair who said: “Real delicacy of flavor, beauty in the sparkle and superiority in strength. Bears no equal.” Now that is some review.

Today, Bond & Lillard is distilled at Wild Turkey not too far away from the original distillery. Part of Campari’s America’s Whiskey Barons Collection that brings back old precious recipes that got lost in time, making this Whiskey takes some real detective work; studying all the old tasting notes, conducting interviews… For the first batch of Bold & Lillard, which was the first release in the series, they used the tasting notes from the judges at the World’s Fair in 1904.

Bond & Lillard Straight Bourbon Whiskey Batch No.2 is the second batch of Bold & Lillard. After new vintage bottlings from the 1920s were found, Wild Turkey's Master Distiller Eddie Russell went back and recreated the expression once again. It brings you the smoky, woody, and fruity flavors people enjoyed so much in the pre-Prohibition days. That this is a very limited-bottling probably goes without saying.
